“Anne of Green Gables” is written by Sylvia Ashby, based on the heart-warming classic by L.M. Montgomery. The story follows a young imaginative Anne Shirley who comes to live with stern Marilla and her warm-hearted brother Matthew. Matthew had hoped to adopt a boy to help around the farm. However there is a mistake and the orphanage sends young Anne instead. Marilla feels that Anne should go back to the orphanage, because she is not the boy they wanted.
However Matthew feels that they should give her a chance. So Marilla says she can stay for a few months, and try it, kind of like an experiment. We follow Anne though her young spirited years where her temper, over her red hair and freckles, seems to get her into a bit of trouble from time to time. She also finds herself to be a young woman in love with the boy she used to hate, because he called her carrots.
